Prince of Wales Island Wildlife Viewing
Gravelly Creek
Gravelly Creek has a run of pink salmon during August and September, making it a popular fishing spot for both people and black bears. Sitka black-tailed deer roam along the short, wide gravel path between the parking area and the creek. Keep an eye out for bald eagles and red-breasted sapsuckers as well.
Habitat
The forest along the gravel path between the parking area and the creek is good habitat for a variety of migratory songbirds. Listen for their songs while walking the path.
