Board of Game Meeting Extension in Anchorage, March 25, 2011

(Juneau) – The Alaska Board of Game will meet March 25, 2011, in Anchorage as an extension of the Central/Southwest Region meeting that was held March 4-10 in Wasilla.

The board will finish addressing three proposals that were tabled during the previous meeting. Two of these proposals concern moose hunting in Unit 16B, and the third proposal is the reauthorization of the antlerless moose hunt in Unit 18. In addition, the board will consider Wolf and Bear Management Policies and provide input to the department on specific conditions for Community Subsistence Hunts in the Copper Basin.

This meeting extension will be held Friday, March 25th at 2:00 pm, at the Coast International Inn. Public testimony will not be taken during the meeting, but written comments on these specific issues will be accepted. Written comments that were submitted to the board for the March 4-10 portion of the meeting do not need to be resubmitted.
