The joint board accepted 40 proposals for review during its upcoming regulatory meeting scheduled for March 2019. These proposals constitute proposed regulatory changes to the administration of local fish and game advisory committees, the fish and game regulatory process, and advisory committee areas of jurisdiction and emergency closures.

Proposals are available on the joint board’s website at http://jointboards.adfg.alaska.gov/, or by contacting the Alaska Department of Fish and Game, Boards Support Section at (907) 465-4110.

The joint board is scheduled to address the proposals in March 2019 at the following meeting:

The public is encouraged to provide comments by the March 7, 2019 deadline on any impact the proposed changes would have on particular activities and interests to help inform the board's decision-making process. Detailed information about submitting written comments and presenting oral testimony is provided in the proposal book.

Local fish and game advisory committees will soon begin meeting to formulate recommendations on proposals for the board's consideration. Advisory committee meetings are public forums, providing additional opportunity for public involvement. More information about advisory committees is online at: http://advisory.adfg.alaska.gov/.
