The sport fishing opportunities are numerous on Prince of Wales Island (POW) with productive marine waters surrounding the island that support five species of Pacific salmon, halibut, lingcod, rockfish, crab and shrimp. POW has a vast road system that provides access to a large number of rivers, creeks and lakes, which provide freshwater opportunities for four species of salmon, trout, steelhead, Dolly Varden, cutthroat and rainbow trout.
This interactive map is a guide to sport fishing opportunities in the POW area providing information on popular fishing locations, species run timing, fishing gear selection as well as boat and angler access.
